Project reports:
This Place Speaks is a creative writing project designed to inspire imagination, nurture creativity, and deepen our connection to ourselves, our communities, and the natural world we are all part of.
Through immersive, place-based workshops centred around local landmarks, participants are invited to slow down, observe, and uncover the stories woven into the landscapes around them. Guided to explore these discoveries through poetry and prose, each voice becomes part of a wider narrative—shaped by place, memory, and shared experience.
These stories are then gathered and preserved as collaborative podcasts, published books, or both—capturing a living archive of voices and perspectives. Each project culminates in a This Place Speaks Live event, where participants share their work and celebrate creativity, community, and local culture together.
