Immersive story and listening workshops for primary schools
Creative, carefully planned school days combining original stories, immersive audio and practical activities. Sessions are designed for Key Stage 2 and adapted to the age, needs and setting of each class.
- Format: a full school day, normally divided between two classes.
- Group size: one class at a time, with up to 35 pupils per session.
- Learning: listening, imagination, storytelling, creative writing and connection with local places, supporting English, PSHE, Geography and Art.
- Included in the £425 fee: planning with your school, travel and setup, a class set of headphones, delivery for up to two classes, plus the session plan, risk assessment and teacher information.
ABOUT ME
With a 15 year background in teaching over a variety of disciplines; from forest school to swimming; from music production to fell running, I have a wealth of experience. I have worked in a variety of different settings and with all ages. I have lots of experience working with children with SEND in a number of different environments.
I draw on all of that experience to allow imaginative, creative spaces to unfold. All of my sessions are engaging, dynamic and interactive, and, through the use of my class set of headphones I create unique, immersive audio experiences.
FOLK TALES & FABLES
During a Folk Tales & Fables school visit children will engage in story and activity throughout the day tailored to suit their abilities. From outdoor games, to creative writing, the stories and the activities are abundant!
THIS PLACE SPEAKS
This Place Speaks is an interactive creative writing workshop with a twist. From the history of story through our story mind to discovering story structure we will go on a journey through a unique, immersive audio experience to help to spark the fires of creativity within.
SAFEGUARDING AND PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Every visit is planned with the school so that the activities suit the age group, additional needs, timetable and setting.
- Enhanced DBS checked.
- Safeguarding policy and code of conduct available.
- Risk assessment, session plan and teacher information supplied in advance.
- Schools retain their usual supervision and safeguarding responsibilities throughout the visit.

Due to travel and setup costs workshops are booked as full school days. I am happy to split the day between two classes. Just let me know your requirements below.
